The goal of DS Improve is to become a knowledge workgroup and a pool of excellence in new technologies, in order to provide competitive advantages and innovative solutions to its customers, as well as an expert advice on emerging technologies.

Since its creation, DS Improve studies technologies used in the video game industry and in the virtual reality domain, and is interested by their usage as tools in other domains.

In the USAs, this concept is named « serious gaming ».  There are various useful applications: virtual showrooms, vehicles configuration, emergency evacuation training, industrial tools training, visualization of future real estate projects,…

Technologies used in MMORPGs, massive virtual worlds where millions of peoples are connected on-line, interest us a lot (content edition and delivery, massive collaborative work, procedural generation of content, compact and minimal information encoding, security and content integrity).

This is why, since 2007 and with the support of IRSIB (Institute for the encouragement of Scientific Research and Innovation of Brussels), DS Improve is investing for its computer graphics research team on a network enabled client/server 3D visualization.
